According to the IOM, over 2,000 people have fled to Djibouti following the Houthi takeover of a strategic port city and an island in the Bab el-Mandeb Strait. This resurgence of violence threatens the 2022 ceasefire and forces many families to leave Yemen. Djiboutian authorities are providing emergency assistance to the displaced, while more than 85,000 people have been displaced since the beginning of the month.
