Cruise ship hit by hantavirus outbreak arrives in Tenerife

The Dutch-flagged cruise ship MV Hondius has arrived near the Port of Granadilla in Tenerife after departing from the coast of Cape Verde. At least eight people on board have fallen ill, including three who died, and all passengers are considered high-risk contacts. Spanish health authorities will test the passengers upon arrival, with evacuation expected to begin between 7:30 am and 8:30 am.
