Cruise ship hit by Hantavirus outbreak set to arrive in Tenerife

A cruise ship, the HV Hondius, affected by a hantavirus outbreak is expected to arrive in Tenerife in the early hours of Sunday. Three people, including an elderly Dutch couple and a German woman, have died in connection with the outbreak. Local authorities will take over medical procedures after docking, while the World Health Organization and other agencies coordinate the response. No symptoms have been reported among passengers aboard the ship.
