Crypto Wallet Risks: Fake Ledger Live App on Apple Store Steals 5.9 BTC

A fake app masquerading as Ledger Live on Apple’s App Store stole nearly $420,000 in Bitcoin from American musician Garrett Dutton, known as G. Love. Dutton lost 5.9 BTC, savings he had built over nearly a decade, after downloading the malicious app on his MacBook. The attackers exploited the human vulnerability by prompting Dutton to reveal his secret recovery phrase.
