CSJ charges FG to release 2026 capital budget funds

The Centre for Social Justice (CSJ) has urged the Federal Government to immediately commence the implementation of the 2026 Capital Budget, warning that continued delays violate the Constitution and the Fiscal Responsibility Act. In an open letter, CSJ's Lead Director, Eze Onyekpere, called on the Minister of Finance to explain the persistent delays in releasing funds for capital projects. The organization also noted that the 2025 Capital Budget has not been fully released and that no funds have been allocated for the 2026 Federal Capital Budget.
