CSS: Mamadou Sow's request for release rejected in 1.8 billion FCFA case

Mamadou Sow, former cashier at the Wiltord agency of the Social Security Fund (CSS), is being prosecuted for an alleged embezzlement of 1.8 billion FCFA. The financial indictment chamber rejected his request for provisional release, despite his claims that the legal deadline to decide had been exceeded. The case is now ongoing before the Supreme Court, after his lawyers filed an appeal for cassation.
