Prime Minister Manuel Marrero Cruz denied any internal division while confirming the existence of bilateral discussions. Rodriguez Castro, nicknamed 'El Cangrejo', is the only close family member not under US sanctions, allowing him to legally engage with Washington. He expressed willingness to discuss the release of political prisoners under certain conditions.
