Culture: Bakoko-Wouri Kingdom of Cameroon Exhibits in Japan - Lebledparle

The exhibition titled « The Kings of Africa: Discovering Africa through the Bakoko people » is part of a cultural cooperation project between the Bakoko-Wouri Kingdom and Teikyo University. The kingdom’s ruler, His Majesty Erick Jamil Madiba Songue, appears in a video message, and several personal items of the king, including a headdress, a flycatcher, and traditional necklaces, are displayed for the first time in Japan. The exhibition is held at the Museum Plaza on Teikyo University’s Hachioji campus from September 26 to October 25, 2026, allowing Japanese visitors to learn about the Bakoko people's history, culture, arts, and daily life.
