The Department of State Services (DSS) has suspended the prosecution of Omoyele Sowore, the presidential candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC), for cyber-bullying until after the 2027 general elections. This decision follows a meeting between DSS Director-General Tosin Ajayi and lawyers, where it was agreed to allow Sowore to fully participate in the electoral campaign. The DSS had previously sought judicial interpretation regarding Sowore's social media posts referring to the President as a 'criminal'.
