Cybersecurity in Côte d’Ivoire: ANSSI, guardian of the Ivorian cyberspace

Established by decree No. 2024-958 on October 30, 2024, Côte d’Ivoire’s National Agency for Information Systems Security (ANSSI) took over the DITT’s responsibilities and the ARTCI’s cybersecurity duties, including the CI-CERT. Founded in 2007 and fully operational from 2011, the DITT fought cybercrime, provided cybersecurity advice and assistance, supported investigations, and led technology projects for the security sector. ANSSI’s creation followed the National Cybersecurity Strategy 2021–2025, adopted on December 22, 2021, and is intended to bring existing services together as digital threats grow more complex.
