Cyclist Joël Kyaviro withdraws from Gravel World Championship in Australia due to lack of funds

Joël Kyaviro, a Congolese cyclist from Goma, will not participate in the Gravel World Championship scheduled in Australia on October 10-11 due to lack of financial and institutional support. Despite qualifying and competing in the African Gravel Championship in August 2026, he announced his withdrawal on Facebook, expressing disappointment at not being able to represent the DRC. He laments the absence of support for his travel and aims to raise awareness about the need for better support for Congolese athletes. Kyaviro remains committed to his cycling career despite this setback.
