Coalition talks likely as no party dominates Philippines’ Bangsamoro region

Unofficial election results in the Bangsamoro autonomous region of the Philippines suggest no single party is set to dominate parliament, indicating that coalition talks may be necessary to select the region's first chief minister. Macacua's camp is leading with 35.2% of the votes, followed by Murad's bloc at 32.4%. Voter turnout was about 80%, with approximately 1.8 million votes cast from 2.39 million registered voters.
