Niger says Chadian drone strike killed two civilians

Nigerien authorities accused Chad of launching a drone that struck the Emi Lulu area in the Salvador Pass on Saturday morning, killing two civilians, injuring others and damaging vehicles. Niamey said France supported the attack and held Chad fully responsible, calling it an act of aggression and a violation of Niger’s sovereignty. Niger summoned Chad’s ambassador, demanded an end to hostile actions and compensation, following a September accusation that Chad was involved in a foiled mutiny attempt.
