Dahi-Sentinelle: A Strategy by the Ministry to Ensure Security in Three Regions of the Country

On September 23, 2026, Ivorian Interior and Security Minister General Vagondo Diomandé launched the « Dahi-Sentinelle » project in Abidjan, supported by the Netherlands and UNDP, targeting the regions of San-Pédro, Tonkpi, and Nawa. Funded by the Netherlands and set to run until 2030, the initiative aims to enhance local security governance, foster closer relations between security forces and communities, and build community resilience. It also focuses on increasing youth civic engagement and transforming tense areas into sustainable development zones.
