Dakar 2026 Youth Olympics: Another tennis defeat for Senegal

Senegalese tennis player Marième Diallo suffered her second consecutive defeat at the Dakar 2026 Youth Olympic Games. She lost 3-0 in three sets to Algeria’s Morice Tania on Sunday at the Dakar Exhibition Centre in her opening women’s singles group match. In mixed doubles, partnered with Amador Ferrer, Diallo had already been knocked out in the round of 32 by Egypt’s Abdelmalik Elsayed and Yara Elbadawy. She will try to bounce back in her upcoming matches.
