The Belarusian delegation attending the Dakar Youth Olympic Games reported the theft of a Nikon Z9 camera and lens at the Pullman Hotel. Surveillance footage indicated the theft took place in the hotel parking area, where a man allegedly forced open a vehicle’s luggage compartment while security staff were distracted. On November 2, driver Samba Thiongane was arrested at the Ministry of Health and Public Hygiene and named Ousmane Thiam as the suspected receiver.
