Dakar 2026 Youth Olympics: Senegal deploys 30 ambulances and over 600 healthcare workers

With the Dakar Youth Olympic Games scheduled for October 31 to November 13, 2026, Senegal has mobilized 30 ambulances and identified more than 600 healthcare professionals. On October 27, the Ministry of Health and Public Hygiene inspected six sites, from Diamniadio to Mbour and Blaise Diagne International Airport, to assess medical teams, logistics and final preparations. The plan coordinates emergency care, rescue services and medical evacuations. The Diamniadio Children’s Hospital, the Games’ official hospital, has also had its technical facilities upgraded.
