Former Gongola State Governor Alhaji Bamanga Tukur was buried in Yola following funeral prayers at the Lamido of Adamawa’s Palace Mosque. Dignitaries in attendance included Aliko Dangote and Adamawa State Governor Ahmadu Fintiri, who declared a work-free day in Tukur's honor. Tukur passed away on September 12, 2026, and is survived by two wives and 18 children.
