Cameroon launched the AgriConnect pact in Yaoundé on October 21, 2026, with support from the World Bank Group to accelerate investment in eight agri-food value chains. For 2026–2030, the program sets out 24 interventions requiring about $1.87 billion, or nearly CFAF 1.12 trillion, according to IFAD. The targeted chains are maize, rice, cassava, palm oil, cocoa, soybeans, milk, and fisheries and aquaculture; 2030 targets include annual production of 6 million tonnes of maize and 800,000 tonnes of palm oil.
