Daniel Dubois defeats Fabio Wardley to retain WBO heavyweight title

Daniel “Dynamite” Dubois retained his WBO heavyweight title with a second-round stoppage of Fabio Wardley at London’s O2 Arena on Saturday. Wardley was floored 17 seconds after the opening bell and endured a further barrage in the second round before his corner threw in the towel and referee Steve Gray stopped the fight. The rematch followed Dubois’s May victory, when he claimed the title in the 11th round after being knocked down twice.
