David Bedingham calls on Proteas batters to take Australia's attack into deep waters in Gqeberha

Ahead of the second Test against Australia at St George’s Park, David Bedingham urged South Africa’s batters to stay at the crease, absorb pressure and make the visitors’ attack work hard. The Proteas trail 1-0 after a 214-run defeat in Durban, where promising starts failed to become substantial innings. Bedingham scored 49 and 46, while Australia’s Matt Renshaw made 190. Bedingham pointed to Aiden Markram’s 75 from 237 balls on the final day at Kingsmead as a model of resistance.
