Kenya's former Chief Justice David Maraga was arrested along with nine others during a protest against plans to build a car park on protected land in Nairobi National Park. The Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS) is accused of giving a portion of the park to a convention centre and constructing a new animal orphanage. Maraga has been released but refuses to leave the police station until the other activists are freed. Amnesty International has condemned the arrests.
