Debt: Here are the major projects that have cost Senegal the most in recent years

The end-of-2024 audit revealed that Senegal's public debt reached 99.7% of GDP, approximately 18.559 trillion CFA francs, far exceeding the previously announced 74%. Among the projects contributing most to this debt, the Blaise Diagne International Airport saw its cost rise from 227 billion to 470 billion CFA francs. The Regional Express Train (TER) is also a major expense, with estimates ranging from 568 to 1.2 trillion CFA francs.
