Declaration of Ebola outbreak in Ituri: 8 confirmed cases

On May 15, the government of the Democratic Republic of the Congo declared the 17th Ebola outbreak in the health zones of Rwampara, Mongwalu, and Bunia, with 8 confirmed cases out of 13 samples. To date, 246 suspected cases and 80 deaths have been reported. Urgent measures have been implemented, including strengthening epidemiological surveillance and providing free care for cases. The Health Minister urges the public to remain vigilant and report any suspected cases.
