In 2025, the USA, China, and Russia accounted for over half of global military spending, totaling $1.48 trillion, or 51% of the $2.887 trillion spent. The USA reduced its defense budget to $954 billion, partly due to the suspension of military aid to Ukraine, but plans to increase it for 2026. China allocated $336 billion to military spending, continuing its modernization, while Russia raised its budget to $190 billion despite international sanctions and the ongoing war in Ukraine.
