Democracy Day: Uba Sani grants clemency to 97 inmates

Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani has granted clemency to 97 eligible inmates of the Kaduna Medium Security Custodial Centre to mark the 2026 Democracy Day celebrations. He stated that the decision demonstrates his commitment to justice, equity, and compassion, especially for vulnerable citizens whose socio-economic circumstances may have contributed to their incarceration. The governor urged the beneficiaries to embrace this second chance responsibly, acquire skills, and reintegrate into society. He thanked the judiciary, Nigerian Correctional Service, Legal Aid Council, and other partners for their contributions.
