"Democracy is in distress" - NRM presidential candidate, Esther Okereke

Esther Okereke, presidential candidate of the National Rescue Movement (NRM), stated that Nigerian democracy is in distress. On Democracy Day, June 12, she recalled the sacrifices of heroes like MKO Abiola and Gani Fawehinmi. She urged Nigerians to take action rather than lament, noting that 100 million Nigerians live in poverty. Okereke called on youths not to flee Nigeria but to use their skills to develop the country.
