Denmark’s Christian Eriksen collapses during match with Ukraine

Danish footballer Christian Eriksen collapsed on the pitch during a friendly match against Ukraine but was conscious, according to the Danish Football Federation. The match was called off. Eriksen had previously suffered a cardiac arrest during the 2021 European Championship, after which he was fitted with an implantable cardioverter-defibrillator (ICD). Neither Denmark nor Ukraine qualified for this year's World Cup.
