Despite a one-week deadline issued on September 24 for vehicle owners without official plates, two out of four vehicles still circulate without plates in Bunia, according to the Congolese National Police in Ituri. Some vehicles also use temporary registration plates, making identification difficult and violating traffic laws. Drivers claim they have not received their physical plates due to stock shortages, despite having completed the necessary procedures with the DGI, which states that registration is now done online.
