Detained ex-leader Suu Kyi receives package from King Charles III

Aung San Suu Kyi, Myanmar’s ousted leader and Nobel laureate, received a package from King Charles III, according to the military-backed government. Home Ministry officials delivered two books about soil and sealed diplomatic correspondence from the British monarch on Monday. The government released the first images of Suu Kyi in two months and referred to her as a “special female prisoner” for the first time.
