Benin: Two People Fall into a Watercourse After Bridge Collapse in Glazoué

The Lifo bridge, located on the Aklampa – Glazoué route, collapsed on the night of August 28 to 29, 2026, causing a motorcycle taxi driver and his nearly octogenarian passenger to fall into a watercourse. The incident occurred around 11:30 PM, and the driver managed to reach the bank, while the passenger was rescued by firefighters. Both victims were taken to a medical facility following the incident in the Aklampka district of Glazoué.
