Kimilili MP Didmus Barasa claimed he earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Mount Kenya University, disputing allegations that he obtained a Bachelor of Electrical and Electronic Engineering degree from JKUAT. JKUAT confirmed that there was no record of Barasa in their files and stated that his certificate was not genuine. Barasa dismissed these claims as a well-orchestrated plot by political opponents.
