DIG Baba Zango assesses Northeast police commands' preparedness for 2027 election

Deputy Inspector General of Police Ibrahim Baba Zango visited the Adamawa State Police Command as part of an operational tour ahead of Nigeria’s 2027 general election. Joined by AIG Osagie John Agans-Irabor and state police commissioner Kabir Hassan, he reviewed security priorities set by Inspector General Olatunji Rilwan Disu. Discussions covered operational readiness, inter-agency cooperation, professionalism, and personnel deployments to prevent electoral violence. Baba Zango urged officers to remain neutral and protect voters, while Hassan said the command would implement the national directives.
