Diourbel: « Allo-Dakar » driver prosecuted after throwing passenger from moving vehicle

Thirty-six-year-old « Allo-Dakar » driver L. Diop is on trial at the Diourbel flagrante delicto court over allegations that he threw R. Gningue from a moving vehicle in late July 2026. A dispute arose in Touba when he refused to drop the family at their home and told them to get out at the old bus station. Gningue, who had come to help her sister as she held onto the door, suffered an open double fracture of her left leg and 60 days of temporary work incapacity; the driver allegedly also took her cash and iPhone 16 Pro Max before fleeing. The prosecutor is seeking five years in prison, the civil party is claiming 5 million CFA francs, and the verdict is due on November 12, 2026.
