Disclose Nigeria's external debt-service schedule for second quarter - Atiku to Tinubu govt

Former ADC presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar called on Nigeria's Debt Management Office to disclose the external debt-service schedule for the second quarter of 2026. He noted that the DMO recorded $39.25 million in 'other charges,' including $22.5 million related to a Total Return Swap with First Abu Dhabi Bank, with no principal or interest payments during that period. Atiku also demanded a transparent reconciliation of Treasury Bill borrowings, urging the government to publish details on maturities, redemptions, rollovers, and new borrowings for clarity and accountability.
