Djibouti calls for assistance as thousands of Yemenis flee to country

Djibouti is calling on the international community to urgently assist with the rising number of Yemenis fleeing fighting in their country. More than 2,500 Yemenis have arrived in Djibouti since last Thursday, and Interior Minister Omar Abdi Said expects this number to rise to about 10,000 in the coming weeks. The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is providing food and water to the new arrivals, which include many women, children, and sick individuals.
