« Do not touch our Cissé Bacongo »: women of Koumassi to President Ouattara

In Koumassi, hundreds of women gathered at the Maison blanche to support their former mayor, Cissé Bacongo, now Minister-Governor of the Autonomous District of Abidjan, amid the controversy over demolitions on June 3rd in Koumassi-Campement. They called on President Ouattara to protect Bacongo, while acknowledging the suffering of affected families. The ongoing judicial investigation aims to determine responsibilities for the operation, which Ouattara stated was carried out outside legal procedures.
