Dr Vincent Brown, formerly Vincent Bajinya, aged 65, is set to face trial in October 2027 in the UK for charges related to the 1994 Rwanda genocide, including killing, directing, or encouraging the deaths of Tutsi victims. He is the first person in the UK to be charged over the genocide. Brown, living in Islington, London, is accused of conduct ancillary to genocide and six counts of conduct ancillary to murder as a crime against humanity. He denies the charges and plans to plead not guilty at a hearing scheduled for January 2027.
