DRC: Suspended Ensemble pour la République Spokesperson Hervé Diakiese Steps Back from the Party

Hervé Diakiese Kyungu, a lawyer and suspended spokesperson for Ensemble pour la République, has told Moïse Katumbi he is temporarily stepping back from the party to focus on sensitive legal proceedings. Party figures Olivier Kamitatu and MP Dominique Munongo regretted his temporary departure. Diakiese represents Congolese plaintiffs in a money-laundering investigation involving people close to President Félix Tshisekedi; Belgian authorities conducted searches in Brussels and the Brabant provinces on October 14.
