An internal report by Doctors Without Borders (MSF) found that local and foreign staff exploited refugees in Chad, sometimes targeting underage girls and trading food aid and jobs for sex. The organization acknowledged 59 allegations of abuse and dismissed 18 staff members. The investigation followed an AP probe in November 2024 that revealed similar abuses. Hundreds of thousands of Sudanese have been displaced into eastern Chad due to the civil war.
