Don’t oppress with your privilege, Makinde tells elites

Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde urged privileged and influential Nigerians to use their resources to uplift society rather than oppress others. He made the call on Tuesday in Ibadan at the inauguration of the Joseph and Esther Homes for Senior Citizens, founded by Nollywood actress Shola Shobowale, and the launch of her book, “Built from the Break.” Makinde praised the home for providing older people with a safe and dignified environment and announced that its access road would be rehabilitated and fitted with solar-powered streetlights.
