Don’t provoke us into abandoning the path of law – Kwankwasiyya warns Kano govt

The Kwankwasiyya Movement has accused the Kano State Government of intimidating and harassing critics and opposition supporters in the state. It reports arrests, detentions, and threats, including the continued detention of Abba Ibrahim Kofar Nasarawa, who was brought before a Sharia court and initially refused bail before being granted bail under strict conditions. The movement has petitioned the Chief Judge of Kano and the Judicial Service Commission to review the conduct of the Sharia court proceedings. It states it will continue seeking legal redress over alleged violations of citizens' rights and concerns about shrinking democratic space.
