Don’t shield corrupt people — Sultan warns religious leaders

The Sultan of Sokoto, Muhammadu Sa’ad Abubakar III, urged religious leaders not to shield individuals accused of corruption due to religious, family, or personal connections. He emphasized that law enforcement should investigate and prosecute suspects regardless of relationships. He condemned the use of illicit funds for religious activities and called for greater mutual understanding between Christians and Muslims. He also urged continued prayers for political leaders, including the president and parliament members.
