DR Congo: Wissa and 11 players leave the squad
Yoane Wissa and ten other Leopards players have been released following the successful start of DR Congo in the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers, including wins over Equatorial Guinea (2-0) and Zimbabwe (2-1). The Congolese Football Federation announced the departure of key players such as Wissa, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Arthur Masuaku, and others as part of a squad overhaul before friendly matches against Uganda. The remaining team members moved to Pretoria for a training camp until October 6, where new players like Willy Kambwala and Jordy Makengo will have the chance to earn their place. These releases do not jeopardize the main goal of qualifying for the 2027 AFCON.
