Dr Ibrahima Sow dies in accident in Gaé: he was not wearing his seatbelt

Dr Ibrahima Sow, director of the Matam regional hospital, died in a car accident near Gaé while returning from Ndioum after participating in an October Rose event. He was the only one not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash, which was caused by an attempt to avoid stray animals on the road. Two other hospital officials were seriously injured in the accident, which occurred at high speed. The body was taken to the morgue in Matam, where the health minister praised his human and professional qualities.
