Dr. Robert Aruho Appointed to Lead Global Antelope Conservation Efforts

Dr. Robert Aruho, head of Mount Kenya Wildlife Conservancy, has been appointed Co-Chair of the IUCN SSC Antelope Specialist Group. He will co-lead global conservation efforts for over 90 antelope species alongside Violeta Barrios. Under his leadership, the Mountain Bongo recovery programme became the world's largest conservation breeding population, with over 100 individuals. In April, he oversaw the repatriation of four male Mountain Bongos from European zoos.
