The Democratic Republic of Congo's international reserves reached $7.8 billion as of September 29, 2026, covering nearly three months of imports. This situation, discussed at the 4th meeting of the Monetary Policy Committee of the Central Bank of Congo, indicates a relatively favorable external position despite an annual inflation rate of 7.25%. The committee kept the key interest rate at 12.5% to maintain macroeconomic stability while implementing measures to increase system flexibility.
