DRC: a young doctor dies of Ebola in Kisangani

Victor Kingombe, a young doctor working in one of the provinces recently affected by Ebola in the DRC, died on Thursday from the disease at an Ebola treatment center in Kisangani. His death was announced by the doctors' union, and colleagues and family paid tribute to him. The epidemic situation shows a rise in cases in North Kivu, with a 73% increase over three weeks, while conditions have improved in Ituri, the epicenter of the outbreak.
