DRC: AFC/M23 Intensifies Military Pressure on Several Fronts Between Masisi and Walikale

The security situation is tense in the territories of Masisi and Walikale, with intensified fighting between AFC/M23 rebels, FARDC, and wazalendo. The rebels have taken control of Ngululu and the commercial center of Humura, advancing towards Walikale. In the Ufamandu 1st grouping, AFC/M23 controls several villages, while to the east, reinforcements in men and ammunition are reported in Kashebere and Kibati. These movements may indicate a desire to expand their area of influence towards Walikale.
