DRC and United States seek to accelerate strategic partnership and investment

The Democratic Republic of the Congo and the United States agreed to accelerate their strategic partnership at the second meeting of their Joint Steering Committee, held in Paris on November 5. Signed on December 4, 2025, the agreement focuses on critical minerals, infrastructure and energy, with concrete initiatives tied to responsibilities and measurable results. The two countries aim to build secure, diversified supply chains, expand local processing and attract U.S. investment while creating skilled jobs and strengthening the capabilities of Congolese workers.
